Spinning reels need more tender-loving care

What you will need, at minimum, are as follows: Wire: You can buy pre-formed wire shafts very cheaply or form your own Clevises: These hold the spinner blade onto the wire shaft and allow it to swing freely Blades: Sized appropriately to your clevis and wire shaft Hooks Some type of weighted body Beads: Essentially a ball bearing to separate the clevis from the body and allowing the blade to spin You will also need a pair of pliers to form the shaft of the lure and may choose to use something like a fly vice to secure and stabilize your materials
